Al-Habibiyyah Supports Graduation of 21 Almajiri Trainees in Technology
Twenty one Almajiri trainees have graduated from a technology skills development program organised by the Almajiri to Tech Foundation in partnership with the Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Centre.
The graduates completed their training at New Horizons Nigeria, gaining practical technology skills aimed at improving their employability, entrepreneurship opportunities and participation in the digital economy.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Executive Director of Al Habibiyyah Islamic Centre and National Chief Imam, Imam Fuad Adeyemi, commended the graduates for their commitment and perseverance, stressing the importance of turning acquired skills into meaningful opportunities.
As part of Al-Habibiyyah’s commitment to ensuring that training translates into real impact, Imam Adeyemi announced that the Centre will provide a temporary co-working space at its Guzape mosque premises. The space will enable the graduates to practise their skills, collaborate on projects and begin developing their careers.
The Centre also pledged continued mentorship, support for innovation and efforts to connect the graduates with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The initiative reflects Al-Habibiyyah’s broader commitment to moving beyond immediate humanitarian assistance towards sustainable empowerment through education, skills development and opportunity creation.
For the 21 graduates, the program represents a new beginning and an opportunity to use technology as a pathway towards greater economic independence and meaningful contribution to society.
