About Us

Propagating Islamic principles and doctrines while catering to the welfare of all people

Our Story

Founded in 2003 and officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on May 23, 2007, Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society (AIS) has evolved into a prominent Nigerian faith-based non-profit organization with a clear mandate: to propagate Islamic principles and doctrines while catering to the welfare of all people regardless of religion or tribe.

What began as a grassroots initiative has transformed into a major multi-sectoral NGO operating from our magnificent ₦1.8 billion Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Centre in Guzape District, Abuja. This state-of-the-art complex serves as the hub for our diverse programs spanning education, social welfare, anti-corruption advocacy, and good governance.

Under the visionary leadership of National Chief Imam Fuad Adeyemi and our Board of Trustees chaired by Alhaji (Dr.) Kola Adeyemi, we have forged strategic partnerships with prestigious organizations including the MacArthur Foundation and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), amplifying our impact across Nigeria and beyond.

Today, Al-Habibiyyah stands as a beacon of Islamic excellence, demonstrating through our "Be Just" campaign and comprehensive programs that faith-based organizations can be powerful agents of positive social transformation.
